The Cricketer Cup
'The Cricketer Cup is a knock-out competition for clubs drawn from former pupils of leading cricket schools. First played in 1967, it was originally conceived by The Cricketer magazine but in 2003 the clubs themselves took over the management of the competition. The most successful teams have been the Old Tonbridgians who have won the competition fifteen times and the Old Malvernians ten times. Many famous cricketers have played in 'The Cricketer Cup' including Peter May (Charterhouse Friars) and Ted Dexter (Radley Rangers). The current Chairman is Tim Elliott (Oundle Rovers) and the Secretary is David Walsh (Marlborough Blues). The 2019 final will be played at Arundel Castle on Sunday 11 August.'
