Hall of Fame Celebration Drinks

On Thursday 1 May, the Beechbrook Capital Cricketer Cup held a drinks party in London to celebrate the new sponsorship and to induct a new tranche of its Hall of Fame. The new sponsor, Paul Shea, was present with some of his colleagues to watch Nick Pocock, former President, congratulate sixteen new inductees from the 1967-79 cohort. They were known as the ‘Pioneers’ of the competition, having played most of their Cricketer Cup matches in the 1960s and 1970s. Also inducted were Chris Bidwell (Charterhouse Friars) and Roger Tolchard (Old Malvernians) to the All-Time Hall of Fame, whose initial inductees were selected last year. It is intended to add cohorts from the 1980s, 1990s and the years 2000-2010 in subsequent years.
