Old Tonbridgians Over 50s start campaign with win

A sunny day at Tonbridge saw the start of the Over 50s Cricketer Cup when Old Tonbridgians beat Old Cholmelians by 6 wickets. OCs made 147-8 in their 35 overs, R. Moxon making 36 and D. Amato 29. Charlie Ellison rolled back the years with 2-23 in his 7 overs, and James Bamford 3-39. In reply OTs were 8-2 but a stand of 87 between Jono Arscott and Steve Jobber put them on their way to a six wicket win with a few overs to spare. Chilean international Arscott, back for two weeks from a teaching job in Ethiopia, made 102 but is sadly unavailable for the next round.
