Preview of First Round of Beechbrook Capital Cricketer Cup

Next Sunday, 8 June, sees the sixteen matches of the first round of the Cricketer Cup, now under new sponsors, Beechbrook Capital. There are some local derbies such as Old Hurst Johnians playing Old Eastbournians, and Old Merchant Taylors hosting Old Hamptonians. The longest journeys will be the visit of Eton Ramblers to Ampleforth, and Oundle Rovers’ journey to Clifton, while the holders, Bradfield Waifs, travel to Rugby. The pick of the matches, however, must be the re-engagement of the traditional rivalry at Malvern of Old Malvernians and Shrewsbury Saracens.

Spectators are welcome at all the matches listed underneath and it is hoped that all games will be scored on the Cricketer Cup Play Cricket site, where up-to-the-minute scores can be found.
